Who we are
ANM Efficient Solutions Ltd (“ANM”, “we”, “us”) is a building and renovation company registered in England and Wales, company number 13983887. Our registered office is 207 London Road, Mitcham, London CR4 2JD.
We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice: we decide why and how it is used. The notice covers this website (anmefficientsolutions.co.uk) and the enquiries you send us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email. It is given under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and, for cookies and similar technologies, the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What we collect
When you ask for a quote on this website
The estimate sheet and the quote panel send us:
- the job you picked on the estimate sheet, your answers to its questions (such as the size and the finish level) and the guide price worked out from them;
- the postcode of the job and anything you write about the job;
- your name and UK phone number;
- your email address, if you give one;
- whether you are happy for us to reply on WhatsApp;
- your confirmation that we may contact you about the job, as set out in this notice;
- up to 5 photos, if you choose to attach them.
Before photos leave your device, the page resizes each one to at most 1,600 pixels on the long side and saves it again as a JPEG. This removes the details cameras store inside photo files, such as where and when the photo was taken and on which device. If your browser cannot process a file (for example, some HEIC photos outside Safari), the file is sent as it is, together with any details stored in it.
Technical details sent with a request
With every request, our server also receives your IP address, the country your connection comes from (as reported by our hosting provider), your browser’s user-agent (the browser and device type) and how long the form took to fill in. We use these details only to keep the form free of spam and abuse, and they are not part of the copy of your request that our team reads. The form also has a hidden field that people never see: anything typed into it marks the request as automated, and its contents are not kept.
When you contact us directly
If you message us on WhatsApp, call us or email us, we receive what you choose to send: your name, phone number or email address, your messages and any photos or documents.
If you go ahead with a job
We keep the address of the property, our written quote, invoices and payment records, and our messages about the work.
How we use it and why
UK data protection law asks us to name a lawful basis for each use of your data:
- Replying to your request and preparing a quote — calling or messaging you, arranging a site survey and writing the quote. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
- Carrying out the work, if you go ahead — lawful basis: performance of our contract with you (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Keeping the form and our systems safe from spam and abuse — lawful basis: our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). We use only the technical details listed above, which we consider a proportionate way to protect the form.
- Keeping business records for tax and accounting — lawful basis: legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.
Giving us your details is your choice, but we need at least your name, UK phone number and the postcode of the job to answer a request sent through this website.
The spam check is automatic. A request that looks automated — for example, one sent within a few seconds of opening the form — may not reach us, so if you have not heard from us, please call or message us. We make no other decisions about you by automated means.
Who receives it
We share your data only with the services that run this website and bring your request to us, and only as far as each of them needs it:
- Cloudflare hosts this website and runs the server that receives the quote form. Like any web host, it handles the IP address and browser details of every visitor to deliver the pages and protect the site. It also provides Turnstile, the anti-spam check described under “Cookies and storage”.
- Telegram — a bot posts your request, with any photos, into our team’s Telegram chat, so that we can reply quickly.
- Resend emails a copy of your request, with any photos, to our company mailbox.
- Google — our company mailbox is a Gmail account, so emails to us, including copies of requests, are stored by Google.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you tap “Continue in WhatsApp” or message us there, the conversation is between you and us on WhatsApp, under WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy. The site can fill in a message for you, but nothing is sent until you send it in WhatsApp.
Apart from these services, we share your details only with our accountant, for the records of customers who go ahead with a job, or when the law requires us to.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Email us if you would like to know where a particular provider handles your data and how it is protected.
Cookies and storage
This website sets no cookies of its own. It does not use local storage, session storage or any other storage in your browser, and it runs no analytics, advertising or social media tracking. Our fonts are served from this website, not from a third-party font service.
To keep spam out, the last step of the quote panel may load Cloudflare Turnstile. It checks technical signals from your browser to tell people from automated programs and, now and then, asks you to tick a box. It runs only on that step and only to protect the form, and it is covered by Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Because it is needed for the security of a form you have chosen to use, we do not ask for separate consent for it.
Links to WhatsApp and MyBuilder take you to those services, where their own cookies and privacy policies apply.
If we add anything else that stores information on your device, we will update this notice first.
How long we keep it
- Requests and messages that do not lead to a job — up to 12 months after our last contact with you, so that we can answer follow-up questions; then we delete them.
- Records of jobs we carry out (the quote, invoices, payment records and messages about the work) — 6 years after the end of the financial year in which the job is finished, to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- Technical details used against spam — no longer than the request they came with.
Copies of requests in our Telegram chat and our mailbox follow the same periods.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
- erasure — have your data deleted when we no longer need it or have no lawful reason to keep it;
- restriction — ask us to pause using your data, for example while a concern is looked into;
- objection — object to our use of your data for our legitimate interests;
- portability — receive the data you gave us in a common machine-readable format, or have it sent to another organisation, where the law allows.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month, and there is normally no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when the way we handle personal data changes. The date at the top of the page shows when it last changed.
