Carpentry jobs vary too much for one starting price: hanging a single door and replacing a staircase balustrade are different jobs. Send a description and photos with measurements and we'll quote from them, or arrange a visit if the job needs one. Like all our prices, the quote is for labour only and excludes VAT.

Typically one to two days for a set of internal doors, depending on how many there are and whether the linings and architraves are being replaced too. Bespoke joinery is scheduled in the quote. In both cases the programme is confirmed after survey.

Yes. Our prices are for labour, so you can buy the doors and ironmongery yourself. Check the sizes against your openings before ordering, or send us the measurements and we'll check them with you.

Yes, on an existing staircase. New balustrading should follow Approved Document K of the Building Regulations; in a home, the gaps between spindles should not let a 100 mm sphere pass through. If you want to change the stairs themselves, we'll tell you at the survey what that involves.

We build timber stud walls, framing and roof structures. Structural alterations need a structural engineer's design and Building Regulations approval, and building control inspects the work as it goes; we build to the approved drawings.
