Our general building services cover a wide range of structural and non-structural works, from internal alterations and brickwork to steel installations, stud walls, ceilings and general property improvements.
Whether you require structural modifications, additional building work or improvements to an existing property, our experienced team can carry out the work to a high standard, with attention to safety, quality and detail.
All work is assessed individually, and any necessary structural calculations or Building Regulations requirements are discussed before the project begins. We aim to keep disruption to a minimum, maintain a tidy working environment and ensure a professional finish.

The scope varies too much for a starting figure to mean anything: one job is a single stud wall, the next is a steel frame. Send us a description and photos and we will quote for your job. Quotes are for labour only and exclude VAT.
Yes. Steel beams and frames are sized by a structural engineer, and their calculations go to building control with the Building Regulations application. We install to those calculations; we do not design or certify the steel ourselves.
Structural work, such as new beams, a load-bearing wall taken out or a new opening formed, needs Building Regulations approval before it starts. Building control inspects it and issues a completion certificate at the end. A non-structural stud wall often does not need approval, unless it affects escape routes or ventilation; we'll tell you at the survey.
If a beam bears into a wall you share with a neighbour, the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 requires notice to be served on them before work starts. Notice is served by you as the owner or by a party wall surveyor. We'll tell you at the survey whether your job is likely to need it.
A short description of the job, photos of the area, overall measurements, and any drawings or structural calculations you have. For simpler work that is often enough to quote; for anything structural we will want to see the site first.
