Questions about Full Renovations
Asked before most jobs like this. Anything else: call or message us.
The duration of a full property renovation depends on the size of the property, the scope of work and the complexity of the project. We will provide an estimated timeframe following a site survey and assessment of your requirements.
The work runs as one job with one programme, so each trade starts when the stage before it is ready. Electrical and gas work is carried out by suitably registered trades, and we'll tell you at the survey how your job is covered.
Older properties hide things that no survey can see, such as decayed timber, uneven floors or old pipework. We stop, show you what we have found, explain the options and agree the change with you before carrying on. Problems are solved properly, not covered over.
Internal refurbishment of a house rarely needs planning permission, but listed buildings need consent for many internal changes, and in a flat the lease may require the freeholder's consent. Parts of a renovation fall under the Building Regulations, such as removing a structural wall, new drainage, replacement windows and notifiable electrical work. We'll tell you at the survey what your job is likely to need.
No. Our prices are for labour only and exclude VAT. You can buy the materials yourself, or we can buy them for you and hand over every receipt.
