Questions about Bathrooms
Asked before most jobs like this. Anything else: call or message us.
The duration of a bathroom renovation depends on the size of the bathroom, the scope of work and the complexity of the project. We will provide an estimated timeframe once we have assessed your requirements.
A refit replaces the suite and tiling like for like, keeping the existing layout and pipe positions. A full renovation strips the room to the walls and lays it out again, so waste and supply runs move. A wet room replaces the shower tray with a tanked floor laid to falls to a floor waste.
Plumbing is part of the job. Electrical work close to a bath or shower is notifiable under Part P of the Building Regulations, as is any new circuit, and gas work must by law be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer. That work is done by suitably registered trades; we'll tell you at the survey how your job is covered.
The wet areas are tanked before tiling: a waterproof membrane goes over the boards, with tape at the corners and seals around pipe entries. Cement board is used where walls will see water, and every wet joint is finished with silicone rather than grout.
No. Our prices are for labour only and exclude VAT. You can buy the suite, tiles and fittings yourself, or we can buy them for you and hand over every receipt.
